Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both analog and digital circuit design, hands-on experience with schematic and PCB layout tools, and a knack for solving complex hardware issues. This is a highly creative and technical role, perfect for someone excited about developing innovative electronics products—especially those who have a love for audio equipment like synthesizers and guitar pedals.
* Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop analog and digital hardware circuits for a wide range of electronic products.
* Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools.
* Prototype and validate hardware designs through testing, debugging, and refinement.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including complex circuit faults and EMI problems.
* Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and product design teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware components.
* Document hardware designs, test procedures, and development progress.
* Contribute to ongoing product development and improvement initiatives.
* Proven experience in hardware circuit design, both analog and digital.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in hardware circuit design, both analog and digital.
* Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD).
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and debug complex hardware issues.
* Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and hands-on experience mitigating related problems.
* A strong passion for electronics and building physical products.
* Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience designing audio electronics such as synthesizers, effects pedals, audio interfaces, or related gear.
* Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller integration.
* Hands-on experience in a lab environment with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
* Understanding of low-noise analog design and signal integrity best practices.
